Originally from the island of Saint-Martin and Haiti, Jasmine’s roots lie in dance.

Like many young girls, JaZ spent four years studying classical and modern jazz at the Ferney-Voltaire Conservatoire.

It was later through her fitness training that she was given the opportunity in 2005 to teach hip-hop to children…

Then one thing led to another, and in 2007 she took part in the Swiss HipHop competition, as well as in 2008 with two of her classes for children and teenagers.

She continued her training through contemporary hip-hop, house, afro and other courses. In 2012 her path crossed that of Dancehall, and in 2016 she travelled to Jamaica to train with the pioneers and creators of the discipline. She has shot music videos for a number of international artists (Gappy Ranks, Voicemail, Phat Cat, Charly P, OBF, Yilian Canizares) and in 2019 she will be going on a European tour with Kenyan artist Muthonie The Drummer Queen, with whom she will win the Swiss Music Awards 2020 and the Swiss Live Talent 2020.

Passionate about Afro-Caribbean culture, JaZ continues to learn and share it with as many people as possible.
