CLASS DESCRIPTION
The popping or Electric Boogaloo is a dance based on the contraction and relaxation of muscles in rhythm. The beat transpires through the contractions applied by the dancer at well-chosen moments (claps, snare drums, etc.) which enable him or her to make the music their own. Popping, like locking, is one of the funk styles of hip-hop. In fact, these dances took their first steps on funk music in the late 1970s and 1980s. Popping is the dance style that best corresponds to funk or G-funk, with its heavy, steady beat, but it is not limited to these styles of music. The style is now danced to many other types of music, including rap, crunk and dancehall.

To take part in this class, you need to bring lightweight but comfortable sportswear, as well as trainers or tennis shoes that are only used for the class and in the indoor area, so that they stay clean.
