CLASS DESCRIPTION
The House-Dance is a social and street dance mainly performed to music which has its roots in the clubs of Chicago and New York. The main elements of House Dance are Footwork, Jacking and Lofting. It’s an often improvised dance that emphasises fast, complex, foot-centred steps combined with fluid torso movements and floor work.
INSTRUCTIONS
To take part in this class, you need to bring lightweight but comfortable sportswear, as well as trainers or tennis shoes that are only used for the class and in the indoor area, so that they stay clean.

Beginner House Dance
Corentin, a 28-year-old house dance teacher at Urban Team, has been involved in the Team for 10 years. His love of dance, pedagogy and memorisation analysis mean that his lessons are structured to make teaching house dance as fluid and effective as possible. Corentin has taken part in numerous battles in Switzerland and abroad, including in France, Belgium and England. Corentin is not just a dancer; he also studied at the University of Geneva and has now set up his own IT company.
