She has shared the stage and screen with artists such as Muthoni Drummer Queen, Ella Soto, Danitsa, Stress and Comme1Flocon. Her numerous influences and collaborations have enabled Chloé to share her passion and her world for over 10 years now.

Tara Renee, choreographer and professional dancer, is originally from NYC; her nationality is Dominican (Dominica) 🇩🇲 and southern (South Carolina). She’s been dancing ever since she was a little girl, starting out with hip hop and soca, then at around 16-17 she was introduced to dancehall and immediately fell under the spell of the culture. Since then she’s surrounded herself with it and educated herself with it, to the point where she’s made it her career! She has been teaching Dancehall and Dancehall Female for several years in New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta, where she has collaborated with some of the world’s leading choreographers and represented the NYC Dancehall community.

Tara Renee has worked with many of the industry’s leading soca and dancehall artists, as well as hip-hop artists, and has performed live and in music videos such as David Michigan’s latest project – whine for me.

Gaëlle… sparkling, dynamic, explosive!

She’s full of surprises… and yes, perched on her heels, she can throw a dome at you in the middle of a salsa! 😉
She is also the founder of the Xtremambo troupe, specialising in salsa/hip-hop fusion, with whom she performs in shows and battles.

Her years of practice as a gymnast and her attraction to yoga are real assets in her knowledge and mastery of her body.

She has always been passionate about dance, and has tried her hand at different styles: #salsa, #hiphop, #afro, #kizomba, #tango… It was during a trip to Cuba that she discovered the Afro-Cuban folk dances in which she has a particular interest.

Power, strength and femininity… Gaëlle brings her freshness and originality to floor choreography and, of course, her trademark: heels.

This year, the Groove’N’Move festival is looking forward to seeing you from 15 to 26 March for 12 days of artistic eff ervescence that will transform Geneva and its municipalities into the epicentre of urban dance.

With this 9th edition, the festival is reaffirming its commitment to highlighting the values, energy and power of these dances, which can be enjoyed by everyone in their own way. Come and (re)discover the world of break, house influences, hip hop rhythms and popping moves. During our festival, you’ll not only be a spectator, but also a participant in workshops and discussions.

The Groove’N’Move adventure is also a desire to open up spaces of expression for Geneva’s creative talent. Our festival aims to facilitate encounters, both between artists on a local, national and international scale, and between artists and audiences. Among this audience, it’s the families that we wanted to honor this year. A made-to-measure itinerary has been devised as a red thread running through the program.

Finally, Groove’N’Move is a series of encounters that crystallize and move around the towns and partner structures, so that the artistic experience can take place at the theater, in a museum, in a dance studio, or in your local community hall.

The festival wanted to honor the many families, children and teenagers who attend every year, by organizing a day dedicated to them, in partnership with the communes of Bernex and Confignon.
Two workshops are on offer in the morning for children aged 8 to 12, and a breakdance battle will take place in the afternoon for 10 – 17 year-olds. Youngsters will be able to express themselves in front of judges and renowned DJs.
